honouring the matriarchal symbol Berehynia (Grand Goddess) which appeared in
the 5th and 6th Centuries A.D. in Scythian and other ancient cultures (shown in
the centre diagram). Other matriarchs include Queen (left), Old Woman (right)
and Princess. These powerful images have been written on the pysanky shown in
